3 weeks into disimpaction and no elusive rusty tea.

Hello, I started a disimpaction regime for my 3 year old, 21 days ago. After two weeks we added a Senna Stimulant to assist and he has been on 8 sachets along with the Senna now for 3 weeks. Last Sunday he had a huge gravy like BM and I thought we had turned a corner, then back to lumpy (slightly watery) poops until this Saturday when he had another almighty gravy BM, this time it was massive, no lumps and completely liquid BUT very dark and smelly so following previous advice have stayed on high dose but this was the last liquid BM since then so we haven't reached the 24 hours or rusty water stage still. I am just wondering why its taking so long? He had an X-ray which confirmed fecal loading (not impaction- Drs words) so I am worried he actually is dismpacted now and we are just carrying on unnecessarily. I guess my question is has anyone not reached the rusty tea stage and been OK? Two pediatricians and a homeopath have felt his tummy and all have confirmed its soft but feel like I can't stop without the elusive rusty tea for 24 hours....help!
