There is lots of information that you may find helpful on the Bladder & Bowel UK website at bbuk.org.uk/bowel-resources/ The leaflet that may be most useful at this stage is the one at bbuk.org.uk/wp-content/uplo...

Hi Mummaneedshelp1 , We always recommend getting the bowels sorted so that you know exactly where you are with the wetting: Firstly check you're making the movicol up correctly before adding to other things. Then is he on the right dose? Have you ever completed a Disimpaction? A disimpaction is clearing out the old poo when constipation is diagnosed (it's not unusual to repeat it every now and then afterwards too). If you haven't disimpacted recently it's well worth doing again. Then think about timed toileting, 20-30 minutes after eating as that's when the bowels are most active. Getting your son into a toileting routine can help. Also, encourage him to sit down to wee. Then bear in mind it can take some months for the bowels and rectum to settle down after constipation, so this is where timed toileting really helps. There's lots more information on our website but we've added some links here to get you started: eric.org.uk/advice-for-chil...
