11 year old boy, occassional soiling -round lumps

Hello, my 11 year old son has had soiling/constipation issues since he was 5. The soiling happens roughly every 3 to 4 months. When he was younger, it'd often be a huge amount of runny poop (overflow), but in the past 3 years, the soiling has been small round lumps, 3 or 4 times a day for 4 days or so. Takes senokot. Then clear for 3 months until it starts again. Is it possible that he's got an impacted poo somewhere is his system, from which bits break off occassionally? And then normal poo (Bristol 5) can pass by that lump? I am so confused by it. He has just started on movicol, which has him pooing 3 times a day (Bristol 5), while previously he was going only every 4 days. Is that a backlog coming out? Would that shift any longterm backlog which may have accumulated. The idea of a sneaky hard poo sitting in his bowel somewhere may be bonkers 😅, so please tell me if so. That'd put my mind to rest.

You need to disimpact him. Have a look at the Eric guidance on how to do this.
