Don’t give up!

I posted in here before Christmas. I was at my wits end . My Daughter who was 4 couldn’t go a day without soiling herself 10+ times a day I had tried absolutely everything disimpaction different meds different doctors hospital apps absolutely everything and it was very frustrating for me and my family. Running to and from nursery to sort her out after she had incidents. Sometimes 3 times a day. The week before Xmas I took your guys advice, I decided to do disimpaction once again it went up to around 14 movicol , it was a real mess as you can imagine until start of January. But it finally worked? Or else my daughter was just ready! I cried when she went one whole day with using the potty and pooing & being proud of herself. We are now at a maintenance of about 3 a day and she hasn’t soiled herself in 3+ weeks now. I just thought I would post to say don’t give up!!!!!

For my son disimpaction has taken 12 weeks and I’m still not sure he’s clear (soiling again yesterday) I’m so glad you posted this. So important to get the word out there. Well done you!!!!

I did it sooooo many times I lost count!! It was very hard on us and her the amount of meds even making her sick . I just don’t know what changed this time but I can’t believe it keep going and hope it works out soon!!

Ah this is great to hear! A success story. We have been in this circle of hell for 14 months now and 8 disimpactions and daily meds which just don’t seem to be doing anything. My daughter soils like that every day has done for the 14 months and has been in hospital for some disimpactions and still in the same situation so it’s amazing to hear that it’s worked for you and your daughter, it gives me a glimmer of hope x

Brilliant news!

I too can confirm there’s light at the end of the tunnel! After a year of problems with my backed up 4 year old we’ve finally established a nice routine and got soiling down to a very rare occurrence!

We’re now working on her instigating the trip herself, which is taking a bit more time but we’ll get there!
