My 4.5 year old was prescribed Oxybutynin by her Urologist to help with urinary frequency and volume. She currently wees 20-30 times per day and only small volumes at a time.
We've started Oxybutynin 2.5mg twice a day about 5 days ago and she's getting very red/flushed in the face and arms and a temperature each arvo. Did anyone else have these aide effects? Did they go away or persist?
Also keen to hear about other's experience with TENS for helping urinary frequency and volume.
Thanks!

There has been some suggestion that oxybutynin means the child can have problems regulating their own temperature when active hence the flushed face. My daughter takes oxybutynin and can get very red faced in the warmer months if she has been playing or exercising outside.
My daughter had numerous side effects to oxybutinin including dry mouth, dry itchy eyes, very mixed moods-anger spells out of nowhere, crying for no reason and basically no control over her emotions.we tried it for 3 months but effects lasted the whole time with no positive effects unfortunately.
My 10 year old daughter has been told to use Tens for 1hr/day for 3 months - we are two weeks in, no change so far but obviously it takes a while. Will be interested if you get other replies about this. Good luck with the Oxybutynin.
