5 year old son poo withholds and has been for 2.5 years

Help!! My 5 year old son was out of nappies by 2.5 dry in the day and night, looking back he always had a issue with his bowels but I am at my wits end. He has been on movicol, laxatives, suppositories and duculose. He is now under a consultant has had two enemas, all of which have not worked. He holds his legs together and hides continually, even waking at night at least 5 times to stop himself going, he is back in nappies and has continuous soiling. He will not go near the toilet is absolutely petrified. This has an adverse effect on his social development and schooling. He was flushed with did work but was then given colon transit capsules to take for an X-ray but they were very hard to get him to take then made him sick. I am now waiting for another appointment to have him re-flushed and waiting for a appointment with physiologist but obviously with Covid this is taking some time. I would appreciate any advice or tips from anyone who has been through this I feel like I have let him down ! Sorry if spelling is not correct

My 4 year old daughter is doing exactly what your son is doing she has constipation since she was 1 she is on Movical she has not been able to sleep because off constant urge to poop so she tends to wake up crying and holds it from coming it’s dreadful seeing her like that , I’m waiting for the continence team to get back to me as she has EP working with her and also the hospital
