Advice for pants at school

I wanted to share our experience of what pants to wear at school. Our 6 year old boy soils most days as he has lost sensation. This mostly happens at home but sometimes at school. We've struggled to find the right combination for school to contain the poo and smell and protect his trousers.

We now have some success with P&S protective pants (available through the ERIC website) and pads from cloth nappies. We have some black charcoal pads and some miobambino from Aldi (they are thinner in his pants.). Our son can roll them up and put them in hisbag(cloth nappy wetbag). He can sometimes manage this on his own and it's good as the trousers and shoes don't have to come off as the pants stay clean.

We use cloth nappies for his siblings so were keen to find something washable rather than disposable. We pop them in anappy bucket, quick soak then in a 'poo wash' in the machine with some antibac. They always do better if line dried. We give them a blast at 60 sometimes.

We've been cleaning him up for along time now so I hope this experience can help someone else . It doesn't always have to be disposable!!

Good luck our there hero Mummies and Daddies xxx

Thanks for this. Just wondering where you get the charcoal pads from?

TJs cloth nappies online. Or you could try the real nappy network in your area where you could get advice and discount codes. Good luck out there!
