How to manage 8yr old wetting and soiling and wanting to go on brownie camp... advice please!

Hi, my 8 year old daughter has been wetting and soiling day and night time for over a month now and is currently on 10 sachets of Laxido and 2.5ml Senna. She is wearing pull-ups as she doesn't feel when it's coming and makes it slightly easier and less embarrassing for her at school. She has been on the Laxido since the beginning of April and no sign of it coming to an end at the moment. She seems to have more accidents when she is at school than she does at home for some reason (usually about 2/3 accidents - soiling - a day and a few wetting and usually at least one accident at night).

The thing is that she is supposed to be going on a brownie holiday this weekend - just 2 days, 1 night, but I am worried for her with the accidents while she is away with them and don't want them to turn around and say she can't go. I am wondering whether to drop her Laxido down for the weekend, but would this help her to have less 'accidents'? Does anyone have any advice on how I can help her for this?

Hi 1st of all brownies can't should not stop her going as that would be discrimination. Speak with the brownie leader about what is going on see if a plan of action be set out so your daughter can change discreetly not infront of other children at night use bed mats for her to the close to toilet from her bed .my little girl goes to rainbows she start brownies in October she incontinence of urine never been dry .it's years of fighting with n.h.s please speak with the leaders at brownies get a plan in place .good luck x

Speak to Brownie leader this could be managed with their support. In the longer term it sounds like she is having overflow and should have a disimpaction. There are some great videos on the site to support. X best wishes x
