Back pain with impaction in 8 year old

Looking for some advice on my 8 year old daughter she's had an xray that has told us she's impacted... She is experiencing really strong waves of pain in the back mainly in the evening as in her body will go rigid it's like she's in labour... has anyone else experienced this with their child is this level of pain normal with impaction?

My son has experienced horrendous pain related to impaction and ongoing constipation. His is mainly under his left rib. His chiropractor said with impaction it can press on other organs which can be very uncomfortable. The most important thing is to clear the impaction but in the meantime if you can get hold of a tens machine that would probably give her some relief

Also my son has hot water bottle, paracetamol, ibuprofen and hot Epsom salt baths with lavender essential oil. Oh and he uses a gym ball for hours each day, moving around on it to help release pain. He’s stopped using Tens now, I think he got bored of it but he used to use it loads, good luck x

Hi ya, Robinia suggestion we use alot of those. Another one is base layers. What we found with our son if you could place some external pressure on there abdomen it gave him so relief. When he is bad he will sit on my knee with his back to me and I will give him a strong hug. For some reason it seems to give him some comfort. Another thing that can help them is being active as it gets things moving.
