Caverject first prescription
hi matrix42. Start low , turn the dial to 5mcg and inject that.
By the way did you find it difficult getting caverject, I haven’t been able to get it for over 12 months.
Hi Royston and thank you for your reply!! I have been prescribed a variety of tablets over the course of the past x2 years, and got referred to a consultant in urology. Who talked to me for 10 minutes and prescribed the caverject that is out of stock everywhere! I had the script changed to the hypodermic needle style at 10mcg strength but my question is to I inject the full 1 ml? Keep pestering mate and ask for a referral. I can’t believe they gave me the script, then want me to wait a year to be shown how to use it
Hi Royston, I’m sorry if I misunderstood…….. when you say difficult to get did you mean from the GP? Or the actual dual cartridge vessel thing that is not available atm? That’s what was originally prescribed to me but I got them to change it to the vial and powder that is used with a needle
yeh from the pharmacy , I tried to get the vial and needle (alprostadil ) but can’t get that either. Not sure what’s going on …….
I got hold of a caverject prescription in Hobart Tasmania, (while on a six month long bucket list holiday), 10 months after prostatectomy and 5 months after adjuvant radiotherapy so natural erections weren't coming back! The private urologist gave me the instructions with no mention of any demo and said to use the lot. Big mistake. A 4 hour erection and increasingly painful as well. Certainly worked but thought I was going to end up on A&E for and emergency proceeded involving big needles. After that I dialled it right down to about a tenth of the dose and it worked fine. But still very painful which lingered on for some time. That was coming up for 10 years ago. As soon as I got home in may 2015 I managed to get hold of a prescription for Invicorp (very new alternativeand just approved in Scotland) which works well after 9 years and is painless as well.
