Injured frenulum and any link to ED?

Hello. I tore my frenulum around 25 years ago during a rather rough sexual encounter with someone who was quite drunk. I went to a doctor the next day but they said that there was nothing that could be done about it as the skin was too thin to stitch, but they said it would heal in a few days and things would be back to normal. This was duly the case and I pretty much thought little about it.

Around 15 years ago, in my early 40s, I began to experience some erectile dysfunction. I manage quite well with Tadalafil, thankfully, but I just wondered if there’s any link between damaging your frenulum when younger and developing ED later in life? After all, it carries blood vessels to and from the head of your penis (it certainly bled a lot when I had the accident), so could it potentially have an impact? Or am I barking up the wrong tree? I can’t find any studies online about this and just wondered if anyone else knew anything (not that there’s anything that can be done in my particular case - I am just curious about it).

hi

My ED started around my 40s when I stared on my height blood pressure meds and not long after was diagnosed with diabetes, have you been checked for both of these?

Doubt that the injury in that area years ago would affect ED. The erection process is more related to spongy chambers in the shaft area. Probably more related to natural aging. Something Viagra or Cialis should be effective on.
