Has anyone used Sleep Well sachets

Hi everyone

Just a quick question. My sleep has been dreadful for many years. A few years ago I was referred to Endocrinology & found that I had been under medicated for my Thyroid & was started on Liothyronine last year. My sleep immediately improved & I thought great but after 3 months or so I started suffering sleeping problems again. I have Clonazepam tablets which my Neurologist is aware of & I try to only take a quarter of a tablet from time to time when I can’t get over to sleep. Last week I was at the till in a health food shop & they had a product called Sleep Well in sachets. I thought I would give them a go. They contain Lemon Balm Lettuce Extract Magnesium & L Tryptophan. They worked really well & I felt so much better after a proper nights sleep. On Saturday night my husband said I had a lot of jerks in my sleep. II’m now concerned about the Tryptophan & wondering if I should be taking it alongside Lamotrigine. I am waiting for a call back from my Epilepsy Nurse. Does anyone else use these? Or know if I should be taking them.

Hi, I’ve no idea about the answer to this I’m afraid, but if your nurse takes time to call back it’s worth talking to a pharmacist. Their training is much more detailed (3 years) than you see at the counter. Their specific expertise is in the management of drugs, so they can no more than the doctors do.

Hi, I'd see which natural foods help you sleep first to avoid any more meds you've got as extra products interact and reduce each other's affects. Speaking to the pharmacist is another option. If you're at the age of peri-menopause, this might be the issue sleep-wise as well. If you're not, it's helpful to know in future.
