Hello, triggers for me are: bowel movements, showers, menstrual cycles, stress. I’ve read that seizures can be caused due to changes in body temperature. When I’ve had them in the shower it’s as soon as I get in or as I’m getting out. If i’m stressed, on my cycle or constipated- a shower can easily trigger a seizure. Try getting a seizure journal and log everything from what you eat, stress levels, cycles, etc. to see if you are able to make any connections. Best of luck!
Think it’s Covid , I had my first seizure when ill and think I’ve had it recently and not realised
I have them a lot in my sleep and don’t realize until I notice bites on my tongue or body soreness. Not all the ones I experience are grandmal. Some I just black out and lose consciousness. I’ve learned to notice these. I’ve had them since I was 14 I’m 34 now. Covid did contribute to making them worse and more often. I am seeing a functional doctor and we did a hair analysis. She is supplementing me to get all my levels to a normal place and that has helped lower the amount of seizures I am having. A lot of my minerals were out of balance. That can be a good place to start if you’re able to.
I don't have seizures since I started medication (levetiracetam) but before that I kept a diary for over 10 years in an attempt to understand triggers. Time and time again I would see that I felt congested and hayfeverish before a seizure. The seizures (temporal lobe) would happen at any time of year but I think they happened most often during the hayfever season...
