PIP assessment good or bad?

Hi, my first post on here. I just had my PIP assessment and it went on for about an hour, the assessor was a nice guy and I gave him a hospital discharge letter (I had just been in hospital due to multiple seizures) and also a results letter from an EEG (stating that that there is a lot wrong with my brain). Do you think that they will help me get PIP? As I've read some very horrible horror stories with the PIP assessment.

PIP is very discriminatory against people with epilepsy, you are usually going to have to fight your case, Citizens Advice Bureau can assist you.

What is so dreadfully sad and depressing for everyone who deserves support, is that you might have to remember your worst case (just when you are trying to always be at your best).

Epilepsy Action are campaigning on our behalf.

Hello yesvi think you should be fine you possibly will need to go to appeal (most people have to ) but in the end you will get there.

I live in NI. I was on DLA, having JME for nearly fifty years, then this PIP crap came along, I was 'grilled' by an empty headed female, [she typed like a fox on her keyboard!] obviously not qualified about epilepsy, [a rotten thing was I could not show my knowledge of this condition, I had to play dumb over the 'interview' play the 'standard dumb epileptic, I have a 142 IQ] I was refused PIP, BUT my connections over the years, Citizen Advice Bureau, Epilepsy Action [even writing a letter to my MP], my sister who used to work in the BBC [she knew all the procedure's] helped the most, I put in an appeal, eventually now getting exactly what I had before! It was a real eye opener, the ignorance of people with epilepsy and the old myths and legends they have had to endure. Go for it RandomMishaps, from your descriptions you really deserve PIP!!
