Bad seizure!

Hi there! I've had 3 seizures in 2 months. That's unusual cause my tegretol xr usually prevents them. The one on March 1, 2018 I ended up hitting my head so hard on the floor that it caused a concussion. Then began having serious painful headaches which I went to ER. Turns out I had bleeding on my brain. Scared me to death! Anyone out there have epilepsy?

hi mate,i'v had loads of head injurys but not as bad as that! its always best to get checked out if its that bad,yes i'v also had concussion too and can be one the worse things about epilepsy falls,take care.

Thanks for the message! Yeah I hate living with epilepsy cause it causes so many problems with driving. Do you drive? This fall was really bad. Well take care!!😁😎

nope,never even been able to have a license. started with my fits just before i was 17 and have had them 44yrs.

Hi I agree with you having a license is near impossible. I've had one but I've just had to many issues lately with seizures. I'm currently riding a scooter to get around. Luckily I've had seizures laying in bed but last one I was standing up in the kitchen. Thanks for sharing your experiences with me. Its nice to know I'm not alone!!!

Having had the same problem I now wear a headband most of the time. Try a sports one from Crasche; it has to be imported from the US and although it doesn't give the protection of a helmet it can be worn all the time.

Thanks for sharing your experiences with me. Mine are pretty controlled by the medicine Tegretol XR I take. Its just when I don't get any sleep or miss my meds. Thanks for your advice. Ill look into it.
