Worst seizure ive had

I dont recall anything after taking a delivery off a justeat driver on Friday 1st sep, but according to hubby, I ate food, went to the loo and whilst on the toilet i started to shake. He came upstairs knowing something wasnt right to find me shaking, to the point id stopped breathing so he performed cpr. Slowly came round a few hours later in a+e resus, where i was sick and desperately needed a commode as i couldnt walk, my legs were that weak and wobbly. Bitten both sides of my tongue and somehow my little toe is swollen, bruised and painful. Its noted on discharge letter this was a tonic clonic seizure, where previously they've been generalized. Its been nearly a year and a half since my last seizure, I havent missed any meds so im wondering what has caused this???

Sorry to hear of your set back. Hopefully its a one off. If i can give u any reassurance a tonic clonic seizure is a generalised seizure are the same type. It all depends who just typed up your discharge letter that day.....so reassuring to you that your seizure type has not changed. Do you have epilepsy nurse you can talk with?

Hi Dawn, are you under any stress even minimal or tired? That's a common factor, I had a cleaning job years ago with this elderly gentleman. One minute I was having a coffee break talking to him at a table, the next I was in another room with a duster in my hand. I don't know how long I was gone (so to speak) but I was very embarrassed and we never mentioned it for some reason. I have Focal seizures now but they were Tonic Clonic back then. It's a blessing you were in your own home and hubby was there. I've just changed meds again as they dont seem to work anymore for me. I wish you well and hope it was a one off,

Warm wishes, Cherry.

I have had and still have stress at the moment. Also very tired lately as well. Being stuck in the house doesnt help either so suffering with anxiety.

Good, hopefully they are as nice as mine are. Tell them how you are feeling and what you want. Good luck, I will be thinking of you, hope you have a good nights sleep.

Warm wishes , Cherry
