Hello I am 17 and have just been diagnosed with epilepsy. I have tonic clonic siezures and have started on 100mg a day of lamotrigine which has recently increased to 150mg a day because I had another seizure without any triggers.
I was wondering if I could still have seizures from my triggers even if I am medication?

You can still have seizures even when you are on medication. Luckily there are a few different types that you can try and see what one works for you. Hopefully you will find one that both agrees with you and also controls your seizures
Sadly yes you can still haves seizures although your doctor will increase your medication and maybe add in a different type in hope they can be controlled. I have a 5 year cycle so mine come back and I have to to change my medication .Good luck x
sadly yes, you can have seizures while on medication.. everyone is diffirent and will react diffirently to the various types of meds, I honeslty hope and wish for you, that the meds continue to work for you and that you dont have another for a very long time,.. as soon as you feel diffirent or that your meds arent working.. go back to your doctor and tell them, each seizure you have casues more and more damage to your brain avoid having them alos consider the Ketogenic diet.. best of luck.
