i got diagnosed 10 years after hysterectomy anyone else ?

hi,

yes, i had a hysterectomy 10yrs ago, and for the last 3yrs the pain has been increasing steadily, now it's as bad as before my op.

I saw an endo specialist last week who advised the only way 2 stop it reoccurring is to have ovaries out - now awaiting an op to have them removed.

I thought i was going mad when the endo pain came back as i niavely thought the hysterectomy would sort it.

hi thanks for your answer had my ovaries out in 2004 officially diagnosed with endo in 2007 and that's only when a mass of scar tissue was found attached to my large and small bowel i have gall stones and cysts on my liver i cannot have any more operations due to the endo and the way i heal will leave me in more pain

Hi,

I had a total hysterectomy in 2010 (if thats the one where overies removed) and abolition of more endo in 2011 and just started naprosyn as the pain has started to increase again. I did have stage 4 endo everywhere prior to the hysterectomy and the consultant has described it now as being very sticky inside and that for normal people things move about when they move but for me they don't which is why I am in constant, but until something triggers it and i haven't worked them out yet, a manageable pain.

I think what I am trying to say is that removal of the overies may not be the answer to your prayers shrek which is clearly linnyloo63's experience too. However, I can say that despite the problems I have now my quality of life has improved ten fold in that I have a life.
