I'm on my last prostap injection. The consultant is going to put me back on the pill. I gotta I'm scared. As prostap has started to make a change to my life. I'm able to do a little more. Im scared that ill go back to the way I was before. How has everyone else coming off prostap been?

On last prostap injection. What to expect next?
Hi, I didn't have prostap but I did have 6 months of zolaxex earler this year. Last injection was end of March and then I didn't have a period until July. Since then my periods have been much much better than they have been for years. I have had no chronic pain/cramping/stabbing all month, no excessive random bleeding etc etc. Just completely bearable period cramps that are over and done with in 2-3 days.
I did have excision surgery before the zoladex treatment so for me the zoladex was to extend the benefits of the surgery and so far so good. I don't know how long it will last but I have managed to continue with day to day life really well (I was also, like you, very worried that I would go straight back to how I was pre-surgery after the zoladex came out of my system).
My consultant also wanted me to go on the pill but I said I wanted to give my body a few months to see how I get on and he said fine. For me (so far) that was the right decision but it could well change in the future and I will see how I am in Feb at the next gynae appointment.
Good luck.
