Hi ladies,

No. To be honest - a surgeon attempted to do a hysterectomy on my last October, and removed the ovary with a 12cm cyst, and that was it!! I was informed that my left ovary was not visible and the endo was 'everywhere' - pouch of douglas, and adhered to my bowel & bladder. I was in theatre for 3 hours at the time as they called bowel & bladder specialists in but to no avail.
I even sought a 2nd opinion to check, but nobody will touch me with a barge pole, as they say I will end up with a colostomy bag. I am 39 and lucky to have 2 children. I am now taking contstant Norethsiterone after 6 months Prostap xx I hope you get sorted - it's not easy, especially after I had scans 7 years ago for endo and I was told there was nothing after heavy periods etc. They even said my bloods were out due to mild neutropenia - what a joke!! x
That is a bit of a joke, they really do ignore the fact that we know our own body don't they!!
I have been told I am looking at a colostomy bag and at 21 with no kids this really isn't what i want to be hearing. I suppose I shall find out more tomorrow, I just hope that i'm going to get a decent doctor otherwise I might as well just walk straight back out!!

I am wondering if my symptoms are consistent with pouch of douglas endo - right deep ovary area pinching, can't bear anything remotely tight round my waist - urgency of urination especially at night -- hip pain and low back ache - bloating and bowel problems, frequent constipation and piles. Pain worse when sitting in low chairs and when bowel and bladder full after nights semi sleep and body stiffness! I have heard specialist Gyne's who deal with endo and adhesions often have to bring in bowel surgeons where pouch of douglas endo is a problem. There are apparently specialist Endometriosis Centres in the UK that have both type of surgeon on hand and are used to dealing with this problem. I have heard there is one in Bristol or Bath!
