I have been living with this and toileting issues since I had my son 9 years ago, it effect's my daily life I can’t leave the house in the morning with the fear I will have an accident. Iv been on the colorectal surgical waiting list for 2 years. Last dec I had an appointment with gyno to be told I have pelvic congestion and all symptoms of endometriosis. I wasn’t offered any type of medication to help with the pain apart from being told get a coil (fear) and wait for surgery to see if it is endo that I have however, NHS Lanarkshire told me that they don’t suspect cancer so there is no waiting list time for people like me so they can’t give me a date it could be years.
Is there anything anyone can advise to help ease the pain?
thanks ☺️

so sorry to hear this. Good suggestions above, plus take paracetamol too. I have also found that tens machines for period pain also help a bit. Ive tried Ovira and Myoovi. Ovira is more of faff but you have more flexibility to move the pads around. Good luck x
Your GP should be able to prescribe pain relief if you need more than paracetamol and ibuprofen. If you are taking these though, it works best to take them alternately during the day, so that when the effects of one are wearing off the other is kicking in. Best to take ibuprofen with or after food. Xx
Hi! If it's bowel urgency you're dealing with, I would advise codeine, not only does this help with pain, it also slows down bowel movement, buscopan are a good anti spasmodic, and ibuprofen help with inflammation. I've suffered with bowel urgency and constipation both caused by endometriosis and hormone treatment. I've found codeine/cocodamol to be a godsend on my worst days. And I've also found that a combination of codeine and ibuprofen work very well for me. As always eat a healthy balanced diet and 8 glasses of water a day. I hope you find something that works for you ❤
