Feeling of needing a wee constantly!?

hi guys! Can anyone help please!?

For the past week the pressure in my lower stomach is so uncomfortable! It feels like I need a wee all the time!!! It’s been like this for a week with bloating. The bloating has died down but the urge to pee still there.

I’m definitely not pregnant. Currently ruling out UTI

Has anyone experienced this???

thank you in advance x

Yes, I feel the urge to pee often and when my bladder is full it's painful. I find it hard to hold on too

It could be a bladder infection or a uretha infection, or something else. I have heart disease and i have to take tablets twice a day to make me wee more, so i kinda understand how you feel. Hope its okay for you soon, from Val

Thank you! So turns out it’s an infection?! I have no burning sensations so that was unusual.

I’m on antibiotics so I hope it goes soon!

Another question, does endo make you more susceptible to infections?! This is the first time it’s happened!

It can do yes. It made me more susceptible due to having Endo in my bladder wall.

I had this. I kept thinking I had UTIs. When they did a laparoscopy they found Endo on my bladder.

Yeah I have this and no endo was even found on or in my bladder. Sometimes it feels like my bladder might fall out, pain when I need a wee, cramping after, needing to go urgently, have been tested for infection a million times. Something you can pay to do which is interesting is have your bladder microbiome tested, as you can have residual bad bacteria which causes irritation from a previous infection that doesn’t show up on the drs tests.

I had this it went on had antibiotics over and over still didn't go. Then I had an ultrasound and the Dr said I have got adenomyosis and endometriosis just have to deal with it. 😔

I took pain relief which seemed to help with it. Hope you get help.

Other factors ;

Sometimes tight pelvic floor can mess up the signalling to the bladder and bowel with endo. In part because endo tissue is extra rich in raw nerve fibres so keep signalling randomly. Squiffy lie of the uterus or bowel common with endo dysfunction can also put unusual pressure on the bladder position. So helping your pelvic alignment can really be relieving not just the bladder either but overall endo pain. You could try looking at @corerecoverypt which I found works wonders for me for that issue. Try listening to podcast 52 or 57 on @leah-brueg instagram link - it's the one with Dr Angie Muller who explains the whole pelvic floor functioning in relation to endo and on going disease/ pain. It's about an hour.

Part of the irritation can be a sign of dehydration too. Drinking plenty of water based on your bmi is a good helping hand here. I take between 2-3 litres per day of water irrespective of other fluid. Most folk find that they actually need to pee less as a result but more copiously when they do - it improves bladder function overall. Just spread it throughout the day evenly and not lots late on 😬.

Lastly if you've had past UTI's there is a chance that one of the bugs was klebieselia bacteria which sometimes isn't tested for and can cause ongoing irritation. This bug has two kick on effects re endo. With endo tissue it actually seems to be involved in encouraging the development of fresh endo lesions . Second it can alter enzyme function of our cellular conversion of lactose. We can become lactose intolerant as a consequence. So worth checking that out ( look online how to do it yourself) . Intolerance to food can cause further bladder irritation and inflammation which will only encourage yes you got it more endo.... so worth considering. If it makes a difference it's worth getting clear on how lactose intolerance works because it's not as restrictive as straight dairy intolerance.

Thank you so much for reply! This is very interesting!

Turns out I have an infection! I have no burning though so I was surprised! I’m on antibiotics I just hope it goes away soon.

So do you think endo makes you more susceptible to infections ?? It’s so confusing and scary

For some of us it does . Do look at the pelvic physio stuff xxxx
