I have struggled with infertility since I was 18. Tried to conceive for 12 years. I was diagnosed with PCOS and mild endometriosis in 2012, I finally got pregnant in 2023 but sadly my baby passed away at 5 days old in February 2024. I am now back to trying to conceive again but since been told I have endometriosis back but has now spread to my bowel as well as back in my uterus, along with this I now have a polyp growth and still both ovaries are polycystic. I am now being advised I need another operation but an MRI first to see how bad my bowel is. I will have another operation but feel like I am loosing hope in terms of ever having a baby.
My questions are, am I now less likely to ever have a baby and what are the chances of me ending up with a stoma?

I had to have a mri after my diagonostic lap to see how my bowel was I was told possibly a resection but to be honest for my bowel symptoms I found in the end I was lactose intolerant so not having this so much has helped my bowels a bit. I was told possibly stoma but that would only be worse case scenario. I was lucky my bowel was only superficial but the endo was die and severe else where In my body. So honestly to put your mind at ease you may only need a bowel shave as said stoma is only worse case senioro if it actually has penetrated to the inside of the bowel. I was also put it the medical menopause that wrecked havoc to my mental health it help ed the groin and leg pain. Now that is back with avegence and is bad again only 5 months from excision surgery and am in excruciating pain again. I don’t have children but there are other options to consider . Surgery may affect the eggs but more often than not it doesn’t . I also have autism so for me children are a no no and am also single . I have other health conditions as well x x x stay strong and positive endo doesn’t always effect the ovaries to the point that you can’t conceive . I have a friend who is same stage endo as myself and has her second child on the way . I like you was extremely worried about the bowel and what would be done . Take care xx
Thank you for replying. My doctors couldn’t figure out what was wrong with my stomach/bowel for years despite telling them I have endo in my uterus. It’s only because I lost my son in February that the hospital I was in did a full internal scan and spotted it on my bowel. It’s awful how it spreads everywhere and nothing stops it. I’m changing my diet slowly but surely. I’ve had my egg reserve tested and apparently it’s very good so will just take everything as it comes!
