I paid for a private consultation and they promised an MRI to look for deep infiltrating endometriosis that may be tying my organs together but once I had the consultation they referred me back to the NHS and now the consultant has completely forgotten about this and gave me a 4 minute and 30 second phone consultation where they called me by a wrong name and everything was a rhetorical question and I couldnt even speak.
I collapsed in may and my hospital visit was beyond a joke. I was in the hospital yesterday as well and all they did was a pregnancy and a blood test.
I am in a lot of pain and I've had a huge swollen stomach for over a month

I had one private appt after a long nhs wait, self funded, then was just pushed backed to nhs for an MRI and had similar issue as you with a useless appointment that I waited almost a year for and the consultant was too busy to even see me himself. I done what I know lots others have and researched nhs endo centres that take national referrals particularly, complex cases, and found one I liked with reaso able wait times. So asked GP to refer me there. That was April 2023 and my first surgery (after YEARS at the other centre) is next month for deep infiltrating endo in my bowel with bilateral endometriomas, other cysts and tethering of ovaries, uterus etc. I'm not saying it works out for everyone, there have still been difficulties getting my appointments and surgery date, but at 14 months is far quicker than the place I was at before which I wouldn't even trust doj f the surgery. They also don't have the same equipment which I also researched wheb looking at options. I think everyone has very different experiences even the same places but you can choose where you go, who you see, even on the nhs, and get second opinions.
