Hi. I’ve just had my first ultrasound results which has showed a fibroid but also an inhomogenous texture of uterus. My GP has said because of this (not the fibroid) I need to be referred to gyne for an MRI or camera.
Does anyone know what could be causing this inhomogenous texture? Has anyone had this on their first ultrasound? My Gp didn’t know she said maybe more fibroids or endo/ando. My initial ultrasound was to investigate heavy /prolonged periods.
Thankyou!

You have a helpful GP, good they are referring to get an MRI done. I’ve not heard the term before but I had loads of fibroids, Endo, probably adeno, Gynae thought it was after op. I only had three fibroids show on US but there were loads. I’d imagine your GP is on the right lines but hopefully MRI will show more of what’s going on and Gynae will help.
