hi, almost 40 year old stage 4 endo here, I’ve had 2 surgeries and a recent failed round of ivf. I’m suspecting I may have symptoms of perimenopause. Has anyone ever been prescribed clomid after trying ivf?! Any thoughts? At this point I’m desperate and wondered if it might help increase my chances of natural conception? I’m assuming fertility consultant went straight to ivf before trying this option due to extent of endometriosis but just wondered if they might consider this just to increase my chances

clomid after failed IVF & endometriosis
Hi there, I had a sudden onset of perimenopausal symptoms late 2022 and was prescribed HRT to bring on a bleed and letrozole once my bleed started. This resulted in a pregnancy but sadly it was a chemical. It’s been almost 18 months and I initially stayed on HRT, then came off, went through a couple more periods of anovulation and earlier this year was diagnosed with adenomyosis and endometriosis. I’ve gone on to an anti-inflammatory autoimmune diet (Aimee Raupp’s The egg quality diet) to try and help the endo and adeno, i’m 6 weeks into that. My FSH has finally come down so it must be helping, and I’ve just last week had another course of letrozole to try and help with maximising ovulation, the plan is to use a trigger injection and progesterone after ovulation also. I’m being monitored this time around (bloods and scan) which has been expensive. My husband has ruled out IVF hence us trying this.
I haven’t had IVF, been referred but put on clomid for 6 months following endo excision whilst waiting for IVF. Month 2 of clomid and I have fallen pregnant.
