I’ve just been told that I have this and I’ve had the treatment options explained.
However, I have now been bleeding for seven weeks and it hadn’t stopped in that time, transemic acid tablets as well aren’t totally stopping it and it’s getting heavier.
Consultant is telling me that this is because of the diagnosis but this hasn’t happened for three years for this long and when it happened before they suspected polyps or fibroids.
Can anyone offer any advice or info? Is this what happens with this diagnosis ?

Hello I have adenomyosis and I bled for a year and a half which was during covid, so I couldn’t get help from GP, I had to have an endometrial ablation to stop my bleeding. I have started to bleed again and I take both tranexamic acid and northisterone at the same time, maybe this would help you? X
Thank you. Oh my goodness how did you cope with that long? I’ve just had to be signed off work. The T acid isn’t really making too much difference and I was told I can only take for five days. I haven’t heard of the other one.
I think if you take both of them together it makes a difference. I ended up having to get 3 iron infusions as my iron was so low. It’s hard to cope with this illness at times x
