Losing weight on prostap?

Hi all,

I have recently started prostap injections (about 2 weeks ago) and I seem to be losing weight. I wasn’t a big eater before so I have tried to eat more throughout the day. Anyway I’ve lost about 3 pounds, I was over 8 stone and now I’m under.

Had this happened to anyone else? And what do I do? I have been eating as much as I can fit in my gob but nothing seems to work.

Hi, this is because the pituitary gland is no longer sending you hunger signals. It's being overwhelmed by the drug (which is what it's designed to do) and cannot tell you when you are hungry now. It also affects sleep and temperature. You need to remind yourself to eat anc not rely on your body telling you. This is very common side effect. It usually goes away as you get used to the drug. I'm on zoladex and I have the same issue although I probably need to lose a bit. ☺️
