Hi,thank you for the amazing posts & questions you all share,I've learn so much since I joined the group. I've a date for my SM & endometriosis excision in April and wanted to ask all the ladies that have endometriosis diagnosis if their symptoms impproved? I know is all individual, but just curious. I have stage 4 endometriosis I'm 44 & in late natural perimenopause. I've been in chronic ( every single day) all body pain and bloating for the last 2 and a half years and since my laproscopic excision operation last year that didn't helped attol with any of the symptoms I decided to go ahead with the SM. Thank you for all your imput Megi

Hi
Try and make sure they will remove all Endo including any connected with the bowel. Women keep having hysterectomy with no colorectal involvement and still having issues. My first surgery was at 51 for Endo and he said it was in the bowel. Although I’ve had surgery with colorectal since who was Endo expert he removed adhesions but made no comment about feeling it in the bowel. So potentially it’s still there. Unfortunately it’s not a guarantee to getting rid of the pain and I’m still trying to get answers. My pain is more abdominal though, pelvic pain pretty much disappeared with the uterus. I don’t regret the hysterectomy as it did help. My insides were a bit of a mess after all the years of ignoring things.
Plenty of women do find relief, I’ve seen comments on Facebook SM uk site.
Thank you so much,I'm having operation with the BSGE specialist Dr Nitish Narvekar, so hopefully He will do it all as we talked about it. I'm looking forward for better outcome after so much suffering. Thank you this was so helpful xxx Every little thing helps in situations like this ...Megi
