Histology results!

Hello ladies! Happy New Year! I hope you are all ok. Just wanted to ask you how long after your lapararoscopy did you get your histology report? I am almost 3 weeks post lap in which they removed my left ovary and excised all the endo they could find/see. I haven't heard anything abour my histology results, I am a little anxious, hope they haven't found anything dodgy. I do not know if I should have gotten the results already or not, if it is a good thing that i haven't heard anything so far. I have my post op follow up appointment in a week so I am thinking that my doctor will tell me something about this then and maybe that is why I haven't heard anything so far. I am quite anxious.. What do you think? Thank you.

You wouldn’t necessarily be given the results directly, especially so soon. It takes time for the samples to be examined and the results written up and the surgical team would need to see them first. You can apply for a copy but they have 28 days to deal with a request and you should get to know at your follow up which is presumably in a specialist endo centre.
