Hi Ladie, I have received my MRI Results, see pic...Sigmoidoscopy next week to check if penetrated through bowel, then full Hysterectomy with bowel surgery (in 31yrs) I have been on the Decapeptyl Injection for 6 months, the same type of med in pill form and Norethisterone as a 3rd barrier, but unfortunately I am still bleeding through with intense pain and fatigue. Still working, 3kids, animals and hubby works away, marriage is bouncing off rock bottom, I think I am depressed, always in so much pain, lost my life and friends, scared to leave my safety bubble that I call home in case I bleed or have a menopausal breakdown. Couldn't get anywhere on NHS so have had to go private the whole way. I am seeking 'friendly' people in a similar situation, or who have been through these procedures please.

I have more or less exactly the same diagnosis as you, I have my sigmoidoscopy on Wednesday. Not looking forward to it but I think it’s something I need to get through in order to plan the next steps of my treatment, looking at hysterectomy and removing my ovaries too. My endometriosis is so aggressive and keeps coming back after excision xxx

What a damn good way to discribe your endo 'aggressive'
Hi Princess, the ultrasound scan was the very first piece of the process, you can't see endo, but it can she little telltale signs, I had a large cysts and my ovary was gunky, which then led to a laparoscopy.
My MRI is a part of my pre operative assessments just to check exactly where the endo is on my bowels before cutting into me xx
Sorry, I can't advise or comment as I have not been through this, but just wanted to say I think you are very brave and courageous. Shame on the NHS - you should have been treated as an Emergency. You are so positive, despite all the pain and suffering. I hope everything is resolved with these forthcoming procedures and you make a good recovery.
Are you being treated by a BSGE credited gynaecologist? Make sure the gynaecologist is on the list as you have severe endometriosis. Private or NHS the important bit is to get a qualified surgeon to carry out total excision. I was treated privately and had very successful surgery without hysterectomy. Life is definitely much improved afterwards.
Hi Stella, yes I sure am...the only one surgeon/consultant in the north of Scotland, If I went through NHS, I'd have ended up in her care also. Last week I met my bowel surgeon who is lovely, and talked me through the whole resection. Thank you for your much needed kind words, and for giving me faith that I may live a full life after surgery, right now this is kicking the hell out of me. Thank goodness you had a successful surgery, and gained your life back.

We have girl 14, boy 11 & boy 6. We have a gorgeous big Bull Mastiff and 2 ginger tabby kittens, they are absolutely mental! Hehe Like having toddlers all over again. That's great you rescued, what kind are they? xxx
We don't have any now but I'm caring for a Swan family in the park lake till they fly away. There's a wall round the lake so they can't get out to graze naturally, depend on people to feed them grass etc.
Our first cat was a ginger tabby, then a little black one. 5 months after we moved house in 1990 a tabby moved in to our back garden and took up residence under a rose tree! So we adopted him (well he adopted us) all boys. We took in a white & tortie and saw her through her pregnancy till we found a good rehoming centre . So for a while we had her 5 kittens!
After Mum died we had her long haired tortie for 9 yrs, she was absolutely adorable . Our last cat was a tabby who adopted us! He was such a character, they all were and all different.
We had already decided not to have anymore before he died.
Sounds like you have a lovely, adorable family. Two kittens! There must never be a dull moment in your house!
Hi snoozehead I haven't had any of them procedures but I do suffer and know how you feel and so do all the other ladies on here. Hope your ops go well and you will be totally rid of this awful thing. I'm not going to start with the NHS or I won't able to stop.
