MRI Scan

Sorry I'm posting a lot, this is all new to me. So I'm waiting on MRI, andenomyosis confirmed ultrasound and endo suspected ovaries are kissing. Did anyone who got a MRI of pelvis also get brain at the same time? Might be a daft question but I've got loads of neurological symptoms that are freaking me out and I want this checked too.

Hi,Unless a neurologist has referred you for an MRI of your brain it won't include your head ... Gynae will just focus on the pelvic area.

Ask for a referral to a neurologist if you're not already under one and explain the symptoms to them, there could be a link.

Thank you. I thought I was being daft, just wanted to kill 2 birds with the 1 MRI! I will ask gp to refer me to a neurologist.

You're not being daft it does make sense if you're going to be in the machine anyway but the radiographer will only look at what has been asked for on the referral form. Your GP is a good place to start for a neuro referral, they may be able to diagnose without the need for a head MRI and hopefully provide you with some answers.

I’d just talk to your GP about the symptoms. I had symptoms of hemiplegic migraine, which felt a lot like having a stroke. The GP arranged an MRI and wrote to the neurologist for advice.

I had both and had a full hysterectomy at 45
