Endromitriosis
Hope you’re holding up okay! What did they find? Did they manage to remove it, or is it looking like another procedure down the line? I guess only advice for now is to rest up and recouperate.
I’m going to be having a laparoscopy soon and don’t know what to expect. Anything you can tell me would be helpful. Thank you.
Hi there. Good you’ve had a diagnosis and that of course, now means treatment because it’s now clear what’s going on with you and your gynae can help you . Was it ‘only’ adhesions removed during surgery or were there cysts on your ovaries? I’m asking that for a reason. My Endo was discovered when I was 36 and we were trying to have a family - trying for years with no luck so this is how I found out what was wrong. For me, Endo was everywhere and I had a massive cyst so they classed that as Stage 4. I wasn’t getting pregnant and in the end, 10 years later, endo basically destroyed my fertility. You’re still very young and it’s hopefully the case that your endo isn’t too disruptive. Not sure where you are with family /family planning but if you’re thinking about starting that particular journey, discuss this with your gynae now, at an early age. This absolutely isn’t the case for everyone in terms of fertility but it is a factor to be aware of when time is still on your side.
