hi there, I am new to this group. I had my excision of stage 2-3 endometriosis in June, but am not finding any improvements in my pain. If anything, it’s worse, although I do also have PCOS. Is this normal after an excision?
and does anyone have any useful pain management techniques? ❤️

Hi, my first period after was much better but then the second was awful if not worse than before my excision. I do feel it improves each cycle though so hopefully that will be the case for you too x
Hi I also found that my pain worsened after excision surgery had my second op of stage 2 removed in February.
Iv recently invested in a tens myoovi device and usually I can only cope with taking loads of codeine and ibuprofen staying in bed atleast 2 days but Iv found that I can manage with less painkillers so it certainly helps.
Iv also just been prescribed the evra patch which is supposed to manage the pain with out taking hormones orally which upset my stomach previously. The patch goes straight into your blood stream and releases a steady dose. It’s too soon to know how this helps however.
My gynaecologist also recommended removing wheat and dairy from my diet.
Hope this helps to know that you’re not alone, every body is different so what works for some may not always work for others. But I do recommend trying the myoovi.
Rest up well and take it easy, your only 1 month post op and it definitely took me a good 2 months before I was back to normal again. X
Thank you so much! I have just invested in a myoovi and it definitely helps. I am trying to stick to an anti inflammatory diet too! Thank you for your kind words x
