Hiya, I have had suspected endo since I was 13/14 I’m now 19 and the gp has just referred me for an ultrasound which took place today. The sonographer saw that my right ovary was stuck my uterus and said this was an adhesion. She said that she would sent the report back to my gp and that this was a big feature if endo and that I should contact my gp and push for a referral to get diagnostic surgery. Can anyone offer any advice or information I’m feeling quite overwhelmed as i’ve been waiting for something like this for years.

my only advise is to keep a note of what is did and chase things up. Often ultrasounds are clear, and even if they are they should refer you to gynaecology.
Regardless of what “treatment” your GP offers (and in the meantime tri-cycling the pill isn’t a bad option to reduce pain and symptoms if you haven’t tried yet) request a referral, and keep chasing it. Write everything down, note symptoms on your calendar with your cycle dates too, and also make sure your GP gives you decent pain relief if you haven’t already got it.
I am new to endo but I would suggest urging your GP to refer you a gynae who is an endo specialist. From my research diagnosis can be missed or underplayed and I know someone whose endo was poorly treated and she only knew this when a second gynae who was an endo specialist treated her not so long after the first (who was a general gynae). Both were via the NHS
Hugs. Get your referral asap. You need more clarity and information for sure.
