Can an endo doctor alone handle the complexities of my symptoms?

I have found that I can control pains during my period. But the pains that start 2 days after my period are unbearable and present with severe gastrointestinal pains that make me unable to move, get enough sleep or even do the simplest of tasks. During this period, a spot above my belly button becomes hard and feels hot. I have had an excision and bowel resection in the past and ultrasound scans showed that the swelling on my belly button is a “small defect”. Nothing more was said about it. When I am on the pill (progestin only) the symptoms and belly button pain disappears. The hardness dissipates and then I feel my bowels start to function properly again.

I recently found out that I need to get off the pills totally as it was causing serious neurological problems.

I am pretty much advocating for myself at this point and I feel I should have a multi specialist assessment. Do you think an endo specialist is sufficient for my treatment? Has anyone else had this exact experience?
