Had an appointment with a lovely consultant yesterday after a MRI in Jan. Pain subsided as it has a habit of doing! Main issue is with bowels. So when asked about pain I said that was my main concern, I'm taking the minipill daily and that suppresses the pelvic pain but annoyed with myself as didn't mention the dragging, pelvic pain I get, the ache after walking too much, exercising and the dull back ache . We discussed the pill and as it is helping so stick with it. Think I was mainly worried about the results, fortunately, nothing nasty seen and then was hoping he'd say pain is caused by this endo we can see...but scan appears normal, scar tissue from previous laparoscopy x2 years ago but as no obvious signs of large endo cysts. He was happy to do an op and have a look if I wanted it but not suggesting it as needed. As we know, endo isn't always seen on the scan but I know the op and I was 25 years younger last time I had it done so think I talked myself out of it, Now regretting it as finally go to the endo specialist.and felt I played down the pain.. As the chat was about bowel problems I'm being referred to a gastrointestinal specialist to look into that before going back to them but just ranting hopefully to someone who know what I'm waffling about!!

Yep I absolutely understand what you're saying! I think we all have a habit of downplaying our symptoms, especially after a life time of medical gaslighting and being told our pain is nothing. Does your hospital have access to a specialist nurse as well as the gynae? I could ring, text and even email my nurse! It was great and was super helpful because she passed on all my concerns to the gynae. Might be worth enquiring?
