I had my hysterectomy 2 days ago and although I am in pain I'm feeling relieved 😌. My consultant has told me he has found no signs of endometriosis and that my uterus was severely scarred from my 3 c-sections and my coil that had been embedded in my uterus. My bladder was stuck to my uterus and that was causing me a lot of pain and infections. My ovaries are still in as they are healthy and he couldn't remove my cervix/ neck of womb as it would have caused more damage to my bladder. He has sent it of to pathology to check for endometriosis as that was what was expected due to my severe pain and retrograde menstruation. I couldn't have diagnostic laparoscopy due to scarring and risk of puncture.
Just so pleased with the outcome and so glad I had it removed. Hopefully I am now on the mend and in a few months the pain that has crippled me for years is now gone.
For me life really does begin at 40 🥰

That’s great you’ve come through op ok 🙂 sounds like lots of adhesions even if not Endo, I hope this settles your pain. Feels a lot lighter in the area, at least I found that.
Hope you have a speedy recovery but don’t try things too soon, definitely no lifting, there are lots of internal stitches, bruising etc., a lot more than we take onboard from the outside 🙂
The RCOG website has great info on do’s and don’ts after a hysterectomy
