Have issues since hysterectomy

Hi ladies Hope you are all well.I'm 10wkop, due to endo and Adenomyosis, bowel and colon repair and a range of other health issues.

Apologies if it's long, just got so many issues

I'm a little worried and seeking help and advice.

My recovery hasn't been straightforward.

Yesterday I have vaginal bleeding, it was slight, I'm worried, as I had every removed, and it felt like period pains.

I still get period like symptoms.

I'm also having rectal bleeds everyday when going for a number 2. It's seems more each day and it hurts

I get numb feet, even when it's hot.

My legs, pelvis, chest, back, ribs hurt all the time, either all at once or different everyday.

To top it off, I've just found another lump in my breast. I have a reoccurring cyst, which I know. But this one is a bit hard

I'm a bit hit and miss with hrt, as I struggle with the migraines or horrible headaches.

I have walking aids to assist me with my walking

I don't want to keep running to the GP, I just feel the problems are reoccurring.

I bit blurr. Apologies I struggle with words.

Hi Jasmin,

So sorry to hear how much you are struggling! It sounds really hard. It sounds mentally and physically exhausting.

I know it’s not what you want to do but with all that’s going on you really need to go back to the doctors or endo clinic. You are important, your health and ongoing struggles matter. It is so worth chatting this all through.

Sending a prayer with hope that you soon feel better and get all the help you need and that you are fully listened to ❤️

Do you have your ovaries ? If you are in surgical meno I would totally use hrt. Don't use synthetic hrt because of the migraines. ( I'm a sufferer too using identical hrt). The feet thing might be the menopause. Bleeding anally could be piles formed after the op. Pressure down there doesn't help although you should not bleed vaginally so I would firmly suggest getting this checked out by a consultant not a gp. You may have granulation tissue bleeding which would be uncomfortable like cramps.

Lumps in breasts always need looking at so if it is bothering you show your gynae too. Your GP will likely be useless about gynae issues including hrt ( and it's affect upon migraines) and seeing a specialist post op would be a good idea for all of the above. I hope this helps x

Hi Charliebh12Yes, I had both ovaries removed, as the were too far gone to be saved.

I've was on natural, but there is a shortage and cannot get the meds. But I did get slight headaches. GP prescribed me with provera, which is synthetic. Taken it twice, and I'm now getting the same headaches that I did when on Norethisterone. Same symptoms such as struggling urine out put. So I have stopped.

I just read a post on here about endo stroke. Where you end up with stroke like symptoms. I suffered this in 2020, which has left me with speech impediment, and weakening to the tbe rightside.

I've sent a email to tbe consultant secretary regards to this.

The lumps I'm going to get in touch with GP first thing Tuesday.

The vaginal bleeding has stopped, but will defi question it.

Thank you, for your advice and guidance. Someone I get in this lul of feeling so low, I can't think. Its like a fog.

I do hope you have a super Bank Holiday.

Hi Jasmin, I'm glad you are going to see the doctor. Norethisterone is also synthetic and gives terrible side effects, or it did for me.

Try using utrogestan instead ( vaginally) once your bleeding has been sorted out.

Obviously if you feel youve had the symptoms of a 'stroke' they will not let you use hrt so I would be very wary about this as it could affect using it in the future.

The getting low part is part of the surgical meno sadly 😥 but getting your hormones right can really really be a game changer. It might be worth booking a private appt with a menopause consultant who then can advise your gp.

Also try a really good menopause supplement

A cheapish one is menopace which I've found has helped . I hope this helps. Best of luck to you. I'm sure once you get in your stride with it all you will be fine ! Xx

you’ve had surgery and it takes it out of some of us more than others, please don’t struggle on by yourself, if you still have the contact with the hospital specialist nurse etc discuss with them, the gp surgery usually give you some priority too after an op xxx

Thank you.I've been getting low days, then all of these complaints after surgery.

I've been trying to manage, but sometimes it gets too much.

I've got a psychologist appointment on Tuesday to get me through this.

I'm gonna get in contact with my GP on Tuesday.

I hope you have a super Bank Holiday break amd thank you x
