I've been in pain everyday for over a year, the pain doesn't go away it can just get worse then go back down. And the pain I have when on my period is even worse, I get cramps about a week before my period starts, and my periods are usually heavy and last about 7 days. I'm bed bound by pain for a lot of my period and painkillers do nothing. I get random diarrhea that comes with awful stomach pain, and need a wee 24/7 but my bladder has been checked and is normal. I've been told by a gynaecologist that I more than likely have endometriosis and ibs.
Does anyone have the same symptoms or tips to help etc. I'm trying to find out more about endometriosis and if I should try the pill or ask for a laparoscopy,as I think that endo could be the cause of my bladder issues. Thank you.

I'm in a similar position, so my heart goes out to you. The Mirena has helped but I am now awaiting a Laparoscopy. I have bowel/bladder issues too. My scans have all been clear.Like you, pain relief (even Morphine!) doesn't work. I have the dreamland heated pad and have also bought the Aroma heat belt from Amazon (kindly recommended on here). They are the only things that work.
Hello there, I’m so sorry to hear about your symptoms, they sound really similar to mine. I get lots of digestive symptoms as well as the pelvic issues, most people with endo experience some kind of digestive issues, like bloating, constipation etc.
I’d suggest if you’re able to get a laparoscopy that’s the best way for you to get diagnosed. Scans can definitely diagnose endo (transvaginal and MRI) as long as the person reading them is an expert in identifying endo, but it can’t always see everything, the best diagnosis is laparoscopic.
hi! I’m 3 weeks post op from a laparoscopy so if you annoy your GP enough you will get seen but you have to really dig in your heels with Gynae. If they try and put you off laparoscopy specifically request the benefits/pros of the procedure cos it stops them in their tracks. I had it on ligaments on my uterus so my symptoms were:
Period cramps whenever I got a dodgy stomach, whenever my bladder was full/full too long like in the morning. Also like you, periods that had me on the floor. I got put on Naproxen for period pain which has been really really good for me. They recommend progesterone based contraceptives ad they stop your cycle. I personally feel like it’s better to get existing endo removed before that tho because otherwise it just waits til you’re off it, at least now I’m clear.
They will try so hard to put hormone treatment on you before a laparoscopy but my argument is I want to know for sure I’m being treated for something I do actually have, not just indefinitely being on a contraceptive for something I may not have.
My doctor told me my bladder issues were caused by the endo causes my pelvis is to be contracted…which answered why my prescription muscle relaxants helped so much…the bladder issues were basically constant before my surgery but after surgery it’s not as bad when it flares up and it’s only certain times of the month…also the muscle relaxers I take are called baclofen
