hi all. My daughter, nearly 18 had to stop her nurse apprenticeship because of illness through endo; we are applying for PIP as she has no income. This is becoming a very long and complicated process . She has no income at all - any advice of how to access financial support - how do others manage? Thank you

has she signed on to universal credit whilst not working, can take sick notes into them from dr to show she can’t work from pain etc, pip can take a while but will be worth it for etc help. I receive pip due to endo and mental health. Good luck

I tried to apply for pip and they have said no.

I can’t work full time I struggle more than half the time , they just said unfortunately as you have a health condition it doesn’t mean your entitled to it .

Aldo suffer with my mental health now too ,

Definitely appeal the PIP decision, if you are still within the timescale, a high number of appeals are successful.

thank you for your reply, I have appealed and it said no won so it mentioned court .

It actually a joke I have lost so much already due to this horrible disease x

I second making an application to UC, my 19yo left uni due to IBS, took on a temp job was let go because of IBS and because Dr gave him one sick note, his UC says limited capacity to work and he gets a higher award
