hi, does anyone else feel as though they suffer with a lot of anxiety (or health anxiety) as a result of their endometriosis? I’ve always suffered from anxiety but since having endometriosis, it’s definitely got worse and I’m now talking to doctors about it and getting help for my health anxiety. Would just like to know if anyone else experiences this as well, I do take anxiety medication for it, but I’m right in the thick of it at the moment and I’m just struggling to get through each day right now 😔 x

Hey! Yes absolutely, hormones play a massive role in mental health. It's very very common! Also being in pain adds yet more complications to mental health, so absolutely it is linked.
I was on anxiety meds for years and honestly it just masked the problem. Yes it helped me "cope" in that time, but it wasn't a permanent solution. I've genuinely found that being mindful of your mental health and finding coping strategies is much more helpful. If I'm having a bad day I take more time out and look after myself. Try limit caffeine too, as that increases anxiety symptoms. Mediation and mindfulness are really amazing for peace of mind, breathing strategies etc. Yoga too it's good to have a multidisciplinary approach to it, looking at every aspect of your life
Most of all try be kind to yourself! If it is a bad day don't beat yourself up, remember this too shall pass. Every day can not be a bad day, so keep focused on that and for the good days to come. Xxx
