I have an endometrioma cyst around 11cm on my left ovary. I’m currently waiting for a laparoscopy date but I have a short trip to Paris planned for this month. It’s a very short flight but I’m nervous that it might cause the cyst to burst or rupture due to the air pressure
Does anyone have an experience or knowledge about this? I have asked my doctor but my concern was pretty much ignored.
I’ve likely had this cyst for a few years seeing how large it is and I did fly many times last year in longer flights but I don’t know if it would be smart to fly now that I know about it.
Any help would be appreciated!

Hi, I've flown with a 9cm cyst, once to the canaries and once to Ibiza. I get uncomfortable after long journeys sitting, so I recommend making sure you've got pain meds. I would also take out insurance as a precaution for while your away but there should be no reason you can't fly. Have a fab time 💛
