Can I take peppermint tea with codeine

Just home from having my first lap and was wondering if it is safe to drink peppermint tea while being on codeine. Please reply asap if you can. Thanks

Mixing codeine with herbal remedies and supplements

It is not possible to say that herbal remedies and supplements are safe to take with codeine. They are not tested in the same way as pharmacy and prescription medicines, and are generally not tested for the effect they have on other medicines.

However I was told to drink peppermint tea after my laps, to ease the bloating.

Perhaps call the doctors in the morning to make sure.

I didn’t have any issues with the peppermint tea. But I don’t do well on codeine so I stopped that pretty early.

hi, like someone else has said. I was told to drink pepper mint tea after my surgery to help with breaking up trapped gas (shoulder pain). I was fine taking both 👍 x
