I’ve had unexplained pain in my left hip/buttock/lower back area that will sometimes evolve into sciatica down the leg or a sudden stabbing jolt in the upper inner thigh. This pain is usually a dull ache I have 24/7 but around the same time of pain it will flare up becoming unbearable and with it I’ll get extreme bloat, nausea and bad bowels (diarrhoea and constipation), so bad it can put me off work.
I had endo in this area in 2016 but when I had a laparoscopy back in Nov 2022 they found nothing. However, after a trip to A&E this weekend they found a 18mm cyst, left adnexal area. They said it’s a coincidence and I just have bad IBS.
I think the cyst is maybe on a nerve and could explain everything. Has anyone had this?

Hi similar happened to me I had a dermoid cyst on my ovary and was told that it wouldn't cause my pain It myst be ibs and sciatica, I checked my diet put things in and out as they suggested but still agony. I asked fir a second opinion and my ovary had twisted and attached to the pouch of Douglas I also had adhesions which attacted everything so womb was attached to bowel and bladder as well. I would get a second opinion as it's highly likely your cyst is pushing on something I personally couldn't bend without pain hopefully you get the help you need, hope this helps. 😊
