Hi,
I had a lap in November and because it was more severe than expected my gynaecologist requested an MRI and a flexi colonoscopy. I have a severe bowel endo but “luckily” no endo directly in my bowel.
However my colorectal surgeon told me that he could see on my MRI that I have endo on my uterosacral ligaments and it is a very tricky surgery if I want to remove the endo.
I am seeing my gynaecologist who specialises in endo at the end of the month to talk about it but I was wondering if any of you could share some feedback about the surgery, I saw some stuff online that they need to cut through the vagina, is that right? Scares me not going to lie
I got the Mirena in Nov during my lap and it does help I don’t have periods and so less cramps and horribly painful bowel movements. Except the last 2 days I have some cramps but I suspect it’s because of the flexi colonoscopy I had on Friday.
The main pain I have now is in my right butt cheeks and side of leg and it is apparently common if the ligaments have endo.
I wanted to wait before having a lap but if my leg hurts almost every day I don’t know if I can handle it for months.
I feel a bit lost now.
sorry for the long post
