Smear finding abnormal cells

I did my smear test in august and when I got the results back it said I had abnormal cells and HPV. I was wondering if the abnormal cells would be the endo cells? Thanks x

They test for pre-cancerous cells in smear tests as well as presence or not of certain strains of HPV. Smear tests don’t look for endometriosis so they definitely won’t be able to diagnose it with these results.

If they’ve seen abnormal cells they’ll be in touch to work out next steps, or they may up the the regularity of your smears, it all depends on how much the cells have changed.
