I am 31 years old and have been trying for a baby for more than 2 years. I have a endometrial cyst on my left ovary of 4 cm and low amh. We have tried one cycle of ivf but that failed. Please can someone let me know if they have got pregnant with endometriosis and low amh. Really need some hope as ivf clinic weren’t very encouraging and said I only have 20 to 30 % chance of success if we try again.

hi Ash
I have stage 4 endometriosis, one of my Fallopian tubes has also been clipped. We went through ivf last year and I miscarried but I’m now pregnant naturally (I was told this would never happen for me!) after almost 3 years.
Please don’t give up hope, and ask your clinic many questions about how to improve chances as statistically 75% of women with endometriosis will have children (I think it’s 50% natural, 25% ivf but I may be wrong!)
Best of luck xx
thank you so much for your response that has really given me hope. The clinic weren’t very encouraging so we feel like we are at a dead end. Did you get surgery on your endo? I’ve been told not to do it as it will further reduce my amh level x
from what I’ve read some clinics aren’t very encouraging! I wouldn’t say you’re at a dead end after 1 cycle- I know I can’t say for certain as I’ve only had 1 myself. I had to have my tube clipped as there was free flowing fluid which if it got into my uterus could cause me to miscarry but my last endo surgery was around 2018/2019 so 2 years before ivf. X
okay thank you! I’ve got an appointment with my consultant so let’s see what’s he says. Please keep me in your prayers x
hi Ash. So sorry to hear you’re going through this. I’ve got stage 4 endometriosis but my AMH is fine and it took me three and a half years to get pregnant via IVF with my first child (she was my fourth round of IVF - I got pregnant on second but miscarried at 9 weeks). I’m currently 27 weeks pregnant with my second child with my final and fifth embryo so please don’t lose hope. It was a long journey for me with lots of ups and downs and multiple surgeries but you will get there. No one has told you it isn’t possible.
I would explode different clinics and speak to different specialists.
Wishing you the best of luck. Hang on in there. Emma x
Hi Ash
I have grade 4 endo. I did three short protocol ivf rounds with no luck (before I was diagnosed). Since diagnosis I have done a round of ultra-long protocol which is recommended for those with severe endo. I got pregnant on this protocol but unfortunately miscarried. Just starting another round on this protocol. Maybe worth looking into?

Hi Red,
My first round was on the short protocol and they have now suggested I try the long protocol. No one has mentioned an ultra long protocol. What is this?
hi, I am 47 now ,diagnosed with Endo and polycystic ovaries at 17 ,I stopped having periods in my 20s at 29 I had a laparoscopy and my periods started again shortly after but they said I would never have children I don’t have the hormone and would have very little chance with IVF ,I was devastated and spent 4 years trying to come to terms with it ,but then at 33 I fell pregnant ,so I was determined to try again as soon as possible, it took 5 years of desperately trying but I had my son .I know this sounds crazy but when I stopped thinking about it and stressing,it happened I wonder if on top of what we go through the stress emphasis the changes in hormones and suppresses things.I have later learnt from so many woman that they were in the same positions but still had children, don’t give up hope ,but do try to find as many ways as possible to keep de stressed ,I know it’s difficult but try everything too.
