Bowel improvement after op?

Hiya all,

I hope everyone is having a comfortable day!

I’m going for excision of nodules on my right utero sacral ligament soon with a specialist, when I had my diagnostic laparoscopy a year ago nothing was seen on my bowels but the specialist said he will look again as I have terrible constant constipation which has progressively got worse and I’m having to take more laxatives, my movements are very painful, even passing wind hurts and I get shooting pains in my bum.

Has anyone had excision which has not been directly from the bowel but still had relief from bowel symptoms after? Could it be the nodule is just really close to the bowel and irritated it?

Dare I hope for relief!

Xx

The US ligaments go immediately round the bowel so bowel endo can result from infiltration of a US ligament nodule into the bowel. I assume you have had a scan though (expert MRI or ultrasound)that has shown that it hasn't infiltrated? This wouldn't necessarily be visible at a diagnostic lap.Are you being treated at a specialist endo centre?
