Has my laparascopy worked??

hi everyone i had laparascopy done over a month ago where they found endo, they did get rid of it. I come on my period 2 days after the surgery and period wasnt too bad. However i have just come on which will be my second cycle since surgery and i am in so much pain. Im just so upset because im scared that the surgery hasnt worked and im still going to have to put up with this pain. Id really appreciate any advice people have regarding their periods after surgery. Thanks in advance xx

after mine the consultant said that the first period would be terrible and then I’d have 6 months of ok. So maybe if your first one was really quick the second one will be the bad one?

I don’t know of course, but thought I’d share a positive- ish maybe scenario

I struggled for 2-3 periods after my surgery because my wounds were turning into scar tissue which exacerbated it. Your body has just been through an ordeal and is trying to recover, so hopefully it will settle down as time goes on. I didn’t really feel the benefits till 3-6 months down the line when my scars were healed and I felt fully recovered. I hope this gives you a bit of hope. But if you’re concerned, I’d defo say speak to your surgeon/doctor to put your mind at ease x
